Continuous Professional Development

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is the education of pharmacy practitioners following completion of formal training.

It normally takes the form of training programs, seminars, and other activities specified by the Council.

Pharmacists are required to attend such programs to be eligible for relicensure in the ensuing year. Each program must be accredited by the Council in order for the Pharmacist to receive credit for participation.

The purpose of CPD is to enhance the professional skill and competence of the pharmacist for safe and efficient practice.

CPDs may be held virtually (online) or in-person. For more on online CPDs, click here
